Beskrivelse af varen

The NEMO Alti Storm 2P tent is a veritable fortress. Use it to stave off winter squalls high up on Rainier, to thwart the whirling dervish in Escalante, or to enforce a no-entry policy while hunkered down in Patagonia. This tent is bomber, spacious, and ready to give you peace of mind when the weather turns for the worse.

Mount Saint Elias is the second-highest mountain in both the United States and Canada, rising 18,000 feet from the head of Icy Bay at sea level to its summit on the Alaska-Yukon border in just 10 miles. Despite its great height and stupendous vertical relief, hardly anyone attempts to climb it due to the high winds and crushing snows that blow in from the Pacific. If you're intrepid enough to venture to a place like this, the NEMO Alti Storm series is for you.

The Alti Storm shares its geometry with NEMO's acclaimed Losi series backpacking tents, and is ruggedized for heavy winter use. The brow poles of the Losi are brought all the way to the ground on the Alti, providing greater strength against heavy snow and wind loads (such as those brought by the coincidentally-named Blizzard Nemo, which provided a good test for these tents in NEMO's own backyard in New Hampshire). The summertime mesh canopy is replaced by a breathable ripstop nylon which keeps out drifting snow while allowing in much-appreciated light during long storms. The durable full-coverage fly offers expansive vestibules, deployable vents, and windows which allow you to get a view of conditions outside. Every exterior anchor, guyout, and zipper pull is reflective for easy spotting with your headlamp. Light Pockets™ built into the tent diffuse the light from your headlamp more evenly around the space, making it feel just like home after you've turned in for the night.

NEMO is continually developing new pole technology to optimize our tents’ strength, wind resistance,  interior volume, weight, and ease of setup. Innovation of pole supported tents goes beyond the poles themselves. We carefully develop every design feature and piece of hardware with the customer experience in mind.

Advanced material development and testing is a mainstay at NEMO. We pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve by exploring  peripheral industries and collaborating with partners to develop custom textiles. We have the utmost confidence in the materials chosen  for our tents. NEMO fabrics undergo rigorous testing to ensure that weight, performance, and durability are optimal for a given application.

Cam Brensinger founded NEMO Equipment Inc. in 2002, with the intention of bringing the sort of the high-level design and engineering he had learned at RISD and MIT to the outdoor industry. From its headquarters in a historic mill in Nashua, NH, NEMO unveiled its first products - tents with AirSupported Technology, that used airbeams instead of poles. Since then, NEMO has done all sorts of innovative work, engineering shelters for outdoor enthusiasts, Navy SEALs, NASA, and more. What other tent company has been asked to develop inflatable architectures for Lunar and Martian exploration?

In addition to tents, NEMO now offers a full line of sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and ingenious accessories like the Helios portable pressurized shower. High-quality materials combined with designs unlike anything you've seen before - that's what you'll find with NEMO.
